Core Values
The work of Dhara is about nurturing a more harmonious and genuinely peaceful humanity. To begin to reach this goal, we each need to be supported in and guided towards cultivating a daily self-care routine that fosters self-healing.
To harvest this vision the following principles are seen as essential:
Learning is understood as appreciating the process of the journey rather than focusing on the destination.
Sessions are about sharing with one another rather than sitting in front of one teacher. During each session the sharing becomes the teaching and we come to recognize that we are all teachers.
All participants are supported in taking a sincere commitment to self-healing. It is because much of today’s world is about instant gratification that we tend to be impatient and undisciplined. With patience comes genuine sincerity and with this, true engagement.
By actively co-creating a safe, non-judgmental space an authentic and trusting community is available for individual healing to begin.
Peace is attained by nurturing the self first and then sharing out, so self-care and daily practice are encouraged and supported.
Coming into our true nature and celebrating together brings joy. In recognizing the unique gifts we all have to offer brings a lighter step and an easier smile.
As we become empowered through our own personal self-healing we become inspired to share with and uplift others. By giving back what we receive, we keep ourselves in a healthy balance while elevating society.
