Philosophy & Curriculum

Dhara provides authentic, accessible and affordable means for those wishing to bring effective self-healing practices into their lives and communities. All of Dhara’s curricula lay a healthy foundation on which to build stronger, healthier life skills. All programs provide effective, practical, easy to use tool-kits for physical and mental wellness. We welcome all students who seek empowering methods to better handle life situations and stresses, regardless of age and economic status.

Without deep roots and a firm foundation progress in life can be slow. Beginning by using our very own breath, the work of Dhara provides a strong base from which to build upon. Curricula includes gentle movement sequences to bring body awareness and grounding, as well as breathing techniques to bring focus and relaxation. Sessions typically include guided relaxation and discussion around habits and attitudes.  Nutrition and learning how to make healthy life choices are also integrated into sessions. Attention is given as to how to support participants in incorporating teachings effectively into everyday life.
